Valokuvauskävely – Photowalking Tampere 21.7.2011 – Special Guest Gemma Clarke

Our special Gemma Clarke Photowalking – Valokuvauskävely Tampere 21.7.2011 started from Tampere railway station. To you, who do not know Gemma Clarke she is one of the best Australian wedding and portrait photographer and business owner of Gemma Clarke Photography (http://www.gemma-clarke.com/). She is visiting Finland and staying a couple of days in Tampere. She has been a part of Valokuvauskävely – Photowalking Tampere group for awhile already and now there was possibility to join our fun. The weather was not the prettiest with occasional thunderstorm showers, but we did host a special photowalk for her and visited Tampere sights (like Tampere Spy Museum) with our photowalking style twist.

This time I did this photowalk again with a bit of my own twist: I was photowalking only with iPhone 3GS (I’m waiting for iPhone 5…) with 3 megapixel camera. And make it as much fun as possible, I edited images in my mobile phone. After importing images to the computer, I just resized them and added logo in Adobe Lightroom – no other edits in Lightroom.

2009-12-06 While waiting the snow

When talking to abroad about my homeland it’s almost immidiately related to snow. A pair of days ago I was taking a little hike to take care of some geocaches of mine. I’ve been geocaching for awhile and for you who does not know what geocaching is: the basic idea is to locate hidden containers – geocaches – outdoors and then share your experiences online.

I had a weird feeling hiking because the November snow had melted away and ground was so plain, kind of sorry looking. The earth was waiting the snow to fall again.

2009-10-16 Tallinn – Estonia in October

Yes, I have to admit that I had not visited Tallinn Estonia before. That’s something odd considered I’m living here in Finland and because every year hundreds of thousands of visits is done from Finland to Estonia. I had wonderful time in the capital city and I try to give you a couple of highlights where to visit in October and in a bit cold weather.
